Most
customers will only need a Standard System and perhaps a
Developer Seat or a 100 user upgrade. So in most cases
JDP will cost you between $995 and $2385.

Explanations about
the Standard
System, Developer seat and Enterprise Server:
- To deploy
applications through a browser you must have the
Standard System (US$995). This allows up to 10 named
users to connect. It also allows unlimited users if
you do not use the JDesignerPro menu system but
simply deploy your applications inside a web page.
- The Developer Seat
(US$395) includes everything that the Standard System
has except you cannot connect to it from a remote
browser. You can, however, have up to two users
connect to it from a handheld device.
- The Enterprise
Server comes with the Standard System but only for
running 3 server side jobs (processes). If you want
to run more then you need to upgrade it. Most
customers will not need to do this unless they have
several server side processes that they have created
that are scheduled to run on the server or are
triggered from a client app. Database access from a
client app is not considered as a
job when the request is handled by the server.
Your JDesignerPro
Standard
System
includes:
- The Application
Builder - including a completely drag and drop,
visual application builder. The Grid, Chart,
Reporting, Form components, Tree structure, Search
and Sort panels and over 40 components are included.
Integrated Data Wizard, Code Editor and Debugger.
- The new Visual
server-side Application Builder with the Method Tree
and Method Explorer.
- The Interaction
Manager - BulletProof's unique system for visual
coding and component manipulation.
- The Access Control
system for restricting users to just the
applications they need.
- The ability to
manage application development for multiple
networked developers.
- The Deployment
Manager for easy local or remote application
management.
- The Enterprise
Deployment Server (formerly JAGGServer) for up to 10
end user accounts, upgradeable to unlimited
accounts. The Enterprise Server is built-in scalable
middleware with JDBC/ODBC connectivity (please
obtain specific JDBC drivers from your database
vendor). This includes the ability to run up to 3
distinctly named server-side jobs using the
Enterprise Server.
- User Manual with
tutorials, pre-built examples and online Help text.
- Option to buy an
Upgrade Contract. For 1 year, BulletProof will send
you a licensed copy of each new paid release of the
JDesignerPro Standard system with no upgrade cost.
- Option to buy an

Your JDesignerPro
Developer
Seat includes:
- All the development
features as in the Standard System, but it does not
have the ability to allow remote users to connect to
and run your applications. You must purchase a
Standard System if you wish to have users connect
and use your finished applications.

Your
BulletProof Enterprise Server includes:
The Enterprise
Server is a separate product from the JDesignerPro
Standard System. It is not required for
developing or deploying client side applications with
JDesignerPro. The Enterprise Server is
used for scheduling, queuing and prioritizing
server-side tasks or jobs. If you have server-side
processes that need to be be run on a regular basis or
that need to run on the server but be kicked off from a
client app then you need to purchase the Enterprise
Server. The one you choose will depend on the number of
distinct server side processes you expect to have.
Upgrading from Entry Level to Standard to High End is
done simply by taking the difference in the prices of
each. To just deploy client side applications
the Enterprise Server is not required as the Standard
System includes the trial Enterprise Server that will
handle all the database connectivity for you and it also
includes 3 server side jobs for you to experiment with
the features of the Enterprise Server.
- The ability to run
up to 40(Standard Server) distinct server jobs per
week. Each distinct job may be run an unlimited
number of times during a given week.
- The management
console with complete functionality to control
process execution, scheduling, queuing,
prioritizing, etc all remotely through a browser.
- Event logging,
notification (email or pager), user monitoring,
server push and database connection management.
- The High End
Enterprise Server
allows
for an unlimited number of jobs to execute on the
server.
- The Entry
Level Enterprise Server
allows
10 distinct jobs to execute per week. Each distinct
job name may be run an unlimited number of times. It
does not allow creation of new subsystems or job
queues, adjustments to subsystem or job queuing or
execution priorities.
